Listen to ‘Zukunftsmusik’ – the music of the future
Since the first ‘Zukunftsmusik’ in 2004, SO KLINGT BERLIN has committed itself to giving new input for the industry, networking it and sponsoring new talent. A database stuffed full with more than 1,500 entries from the music and media landscape was only the beginning. Now in the fifth year of our work, the claim has grown and our aim become more specific. In the first few years, the project made a name for itself by sponsoring young musicians.
Up-and-coming artists were offered a platform where they could present themselves and their music live to an audience. Industry talks were first integrated in the event in 2007. Every evening, innovative lateral thinkers sat opposite successful industry professionals. They talked about new methods and questioned old strategies. So not only the visitors learned new things and re-think old routines, but so did the speakers and participants.
We're building on from these foundations and going a step further this year. The SO KLINGT BERLIN Congress 2009 is taking the form of a workshop lasting several days. New concepts are to be played through as practical case studies, and old paths checked for wear.
